Boom, Boom, POW!

Pre-fireworks fun included swimming, food, friends, jumping hoop ....
seating arrangement...
and family photos...
Onto some smoke stick dancing....
Then the main event....
We've been into the latest Black-Eyed-Peas hit song so it was one of the "comfort lines" we used to ease Alexis during fireworks. She was highly fearful of the loud ones but by the end of the night was really getting into the pretty ones. She did warm up a bit more to the snappers and did a little stomping as we directed to "squish them like a bug".
Another memorable line for Alexis---bye, bye Rocket! She's repeated that and boom, boom, POW while reminiscing the fireworks all evening and into today.
Last year we did fireworks with my family--impossible to recreate how much fun we had or the display that uncle Troy provided--he LOVES to celebrate the fourth. But, we were certainly inspired by him to buy some bigger grand-finale fireworks and a smaller version of firecrackers--also known by Braxton as "the bomb".
Both he and Alexis went indoors while this played out but they certainly still heard it! I don't like firecrackers--I've never understood their lure but this thing is entertaining if only for the will it ever stop factor! Braeden was in his element from the moment he was given the go. READY?..........
I don't think he stopped until the last one was shot. When asked what his favorite was he couldn't settle on one. He truly LOVED it ALL!

Thanks friends we had a BLAST!
