Let the countdown begin

The much anticipated 13 days of Halloween aka the Halloween countdown started this week.
Day 1: We shook our booties
and then played a little chase to Halloween music.
Day 2: We had a tasty dinner of mummys and ghosts!
We finally learned our lesson that the kids won't eat plain vanilla shakes so our ghosts were chocolate this year :) Only problem with that plan was that there wasn't much left over for Brian and I to enjoy.
Day 3: We went shopping for costumes. It was nice to avoid the crowds that are generally out on the weekends but because it was a school night we were on a time limit. The boys' original ideas were nixed and new found ideas ran rampant! Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the looks on day 3 but we did finish up by the weekend.
can you guess who will be wearing what?
Day 4: Family game night
Day 5: Halloween craft
We all went to WalMart to buy the goods and seriously I would have thought by the way the shopping trip went that the actual crafting might be a disaster. The kids were MANIACS: running, not watching where they were going, completely uncontrollable! But, the craft had to have been one of the best we've done! Thanks Family Fun! Brian even participated in this craft and made two ping pong balls.
The kids were begging for more! Even into the following day.

Day 6: Woog-a-lee, Woog-a-lee, WOO!
What you say? This is an often requested home grown game that Alexis affectionally named. The basics of the game include Brian hiding in the dark, usually in one of the rooms down the hall. Then the kids try to find him but before they do, Brian comes out hollering from his hiding spot and the kids fly with screams to the kitchen. The anticipation and tension that mounts as the kids prepare to search is endless. And when I say the kids flee I am not kidding! They jump over one another, knock into each other and I'm pretty sure I once saw Braeden fly! It is almost always guaranteed that someone will get hurt but they don't care. If the lead guy (Braeden) is injured the game ends (because really the fear of being first is just too much for the middle two to endure!) This particular night Braeden ended up with a bloody nose! So despite coaxing the other two to continue the game, it ended early.
