Summer 2010 week 2 (part 1)

We took the kids to a local specialty toy shop where they were able to create enchanted garden stones. Alexis wanted independence when designing her stone but due to how fast these things dry her plan had to be tweaked and required assistance.

As it turned out, Braxton was the last of the kids at the table with the opportunity to pour and set up his stone. He had his design planned but quickly executed it so that he could join the others in riding the flying turtle throughout the store!

Braeden was at the head of the table and enjoyed it so much he was excited and willing to jump at any chance he could to help the others.

After a visit to my brother's pool/pond we were inspired to duplicate some of their plantings. The kids of course were excited to assist! Brian is happy that we have additional color in the backyard and subsequently less area to mow!

This spot also makes a great place to showcase the garden stones!
