The rest of week 3 has been filled with lots of randomness: baseball, reading, tae kwon do (a post of its own to come later), friends, appointments, swimming and more.
Braeden is on a kid pitch team for the first time. I understand the games can be quiet ugly with lots of walks allowed on both teams leading to long boring innings on either side of the field. Braeden and Brian worked hard this week pitching and batting. Braeden made some nice improvement and seemed confident and ready for the game. Braeden was one of the pitchers this week but unfortunately, he was given directives by his coach to throw the ball a bit differently than he'd been practicing so ended up a little disappointed in his performance. He did get a hit and was quite happy that the kids behind him did too so he got to run in!
We went swimming at Troy and Monica's; we'll actually just the kids were swimming until Braxton pushed uncle Troy in. Here you see the beginning of Troy's revenge as he preps to dump lil b off his raft.
Braeden had a blast playing fetch with the dogs between dunks in the pool. And Alexis hung out on the rock steps for the most part until Troy had her jump in; then she was a
non-stop jumping fool.
We had a couple of doctor appointments this week and since we're all together we made these family events. The first appt was a baby dr visit ----aka: a visit with the wild, unruly Thompson crew pinned up in a small confined space....Our doctor already thinks we're a bit nuts to have another baby; I imagine after that visit she's considering having us admitted somewhere. The second appointment to the ear dr was much better! Although Braxton may not think so...he's now on three different meds following that visit (poor kid)!
Summer fun school involved signing up for the library reading program which lead to an increased interest in reading so the kids' team will have a greater chance of winning! Braeden read over 500 pages, Braxton completed two books and we read Alexis' finds over and over again.
Creative/imaginative outlets included making fruit loop bracelets,
make believe super hero games with friends, pretend drive-in outings and more lego creations.
Summer Rocks---don't you think?

Hi! I've checked in on your blog several other times but left without commenting, so I thought I'd say HI today! Your kids are adorable and I can't believe how big they are! Looks like you guys are off to a great start to your summer!
