Friday Donuts

Friday Donuts defined: chocolate "stix and circles" (aka: chocolate covered long johns and round donuts), the best donut holes ever made (always glazed and sometimes chocolate ones too) bought and consumed on a Friday.

I'm trying to recall how this little tradition started...I took the kids to the donut shop on a Friday before swim lessons back in May while Brian was still working. Maybe that's where it all began? Brian has breakfast with a group of guys each Friday; either the kids or I asked if he'd make a run for donuts on his way home in June. After that it stuck.

The kids love this little treat. Braxton probably looks forward to it the most, he will ask what day of the week is it and then notes how many more days til "Friday Donuts".

We know with school's approach this sweet treat day will likely go but the kids have hopes that it will be back again next summer.
