Finally Alexis was going to ride the train she's been so patient. She clapped her hands in excitement pre-ride and was all smiles while boarding. We even waited so that she could get her preferred seat in the engine.
But, I'm not sure how much she enjoyed this ride solo. She was definitely lost without her brothers once that engine pulled forward!
She was somber for the majority of the ride and rubbed her eye nearly the entire time. We did manage to capture a few smiles though.
Following the ride she said in a big dramatic sigh "ahhhh, I need...take a break" and took a load off in the luggage department while waiting for her daddy to get her a snack.
She and I spent the rest of the evening watching some of her favorite shows "Dora" and "Max and Ruby."
The boys were at the Polar Express (a school fundraiser) and Brian was supervising a fun night at his building.
Even if it wasn't all they had imagined (they originally thought they might actually board a train or maybe busses) the Polar Express was a huge hit complete with face paint, prizes, food, silly games and more!
Braxton said he thought he won everything he tried and is going to be featured in some thing??? (we'll see) The next day he said he remembered there was one thing he didn't win :). He also said he made a new friend she was really nice and he "REALLY LIKED HER" adding that he almost cried when she had to leave. She was older he told us. We are thinking that she was likely a high school helper.
This is the third year that Braeden has asked...correction...BEGGED to attend this function. So he was beyond thrilled!
Love the snowman gig.
